Background
A Japanese streetwear flagship store in Shibuya needed a large neon sign (Japanese + English) with smooth curves and uniform brightness. Traditional glass neon was fragile, power‑hungry, and couldn’t achieve very tight bends.

Challenges
- Letters with descenders (e.g., “g”, “y”) required bending radius as small as 8mm.
- Overall size 2.4m × 0.9m – needed sectional shipping and seamless onsite assembly.
- Must pass Japanese PSE electrical safety certification.

Solution
- Technology: Flexible silicone neon LED strip (5mm wide), bendable to 5mm radius, fixed with snap‑in channels.
- Face panel: 5mm frosted acrylic base with routed letter cavities, neon embedded, covered by clear acrylic.
- Power: 24V waterproof drivers, 4 independently controlled sections for chasing effects.
- Assembly: Provided numbered sections and splicing diagram; client used invisible connectors on site.
We delivered three rounds of prototyping, adjusting color temperature (from 2700K warm white to 3000K natural white) and brightness uniformity. Mass production completed in 30 days after final approval.
