This project involved a multi-layer indoor vertical farming facility at a modern agricultural technology park, fully equipped with our customized full-spectrum LED plant growth lighting system. To meet the specific photoperiod and spectral requirements of lettuce, herbs, and microgreens, we designed tunable-spectrum (380nm-780nm) LED modules, with particular emphasis on the ratio of 450nm blue light and 660nm red light to enhance photosynthesis and morphogenesis.
The system utilizes an intelligent control system that automatically adjusts light intensity and spectrum according to different growth stages, resulting in a 40% increase in light energy utilization and an average 25% reduction in crop growth cycles. Compared to traditional high-pressure sodium lamps, overall energy consumption was reduced by 60%, with no thermal radiation damage to plants. Over 12 months of operation, the project achieved a 35% increase in yield per unit area and significantly improved consistency in crop nutritional content, enabling the client to realize efficient, energy-saving, and controllable year-round production.
